Taunusstraße

The Taunusstraße is one of those streets in Wiesbaden whose grandeur comes from the nearly completely preserved building façades inspired by Historicism.

Numerous antique dealers present their offers along Taunusstraße.

After 1866, the two-storey buildings erected before 1826 were replaced by four-storey late-classicist structures.

Formerly known primarily for its antique shops, today, this splendid street is increasingly distinguished by cafés and restaurants.

The first weekend in September the shops of the legendary "Mile of Antiquities", residents and dedicated members of the association "In der Taunusstraße e.V." roll out the red carpet and invite to a stylish two-day street festival, at which not only culinary delicacies but also art and culture play a predominant role.
