A city of short distances, Wiesbaden is an ideal place to visit with children. Located north-west of the centre, in Wiesbaden‘s urban woods, the Fasanerie zoo and botanical garden is home to around fifty animal species, including wolves, lynxes, bears, and bison. In addition to an educational tree walk, children can enjoy the petting zoo area, a water playground, and a playing field with attractive equipment waiting to be discovered.
The heart of Schloss Freudenberg is a permanent exhibition, called the Field of Experience for the Senses and the Mind. More than a hundred interactive stations provide a chance to experience natural phenomena such as balance, gravity, light and darkness, sound and resonance, in a playful manner. Two of the highlights include the dark café and the dark aisle, experiences that will remain in visitors‘ memories long after the stay.
