Art and Culture

Life in the state capital is pulsating, it is varied and lively.

There are many cultural offerings in the state capital.

And this liveliness is also reflected in a wide range of cultural offerings, from the areas of theater, art, literature and music in the most diverse forms.
For example, top-class ensembles meet annually at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden for the International May Festival and many other world-class events. But Wiesbaden also has a lot to offer away from these big stages. Cabaret, music and improvisational theater are offered at many different venues, which also impress with their originality.
The Wiesbaden museum landscape offers a high-quality and diverse selection. The Museum Wiesbaden, for example, houses the most important collection in Europe of the Russian painter Alexej von Jawlensky, in addition to numerous magnificent collections.

No less attractive is the offer in the various district museums. Art can also be experienced in the city's countless galleries and centrally located exhibition venues.
