Wine is very important in Wiesbaden not only during the Rheingau Wine Festival – separate wine festivals are also celebrated in the surrounding wine towns Schierstein, Kostheim and Frauenstein. The events include vineyard walks, culinary weeks and numerous wine maker courtyard fests, wine trade fairs and Christmas events. Another highlight is the Wine Ball that is held every year and is organised by the VDA Prädikatsweingüter (quality vineyards association) and the Hessian capital.
