Spielbank Wiesbaden

The Wiesbaden casino is one of the oldest in Germany. Crowned heads, musicians, literary figures - they all came to Wiesbaden to try their luck here. One of them was the Russian writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky, who gambled away all his money here in 1865. He masterfully describes the event in his novel "The Gambler". Even today, the roulette wheel at which Dostoevsky feverishly gambled "faites vos jeux" can still be seen.

The casino has undergone numerous changes in the course of its history. Today it resides in the former wine hall of the Kurhaus, a cherry wood paneled room decorated with magnificent medallions. Besides roulette and American roulette, roulight, blackjack and poker are played.
